In Reply: Dr McCunniff raises an important point regarding the necessity of including other relevant outcomes, such as surgical morbidity and mortality, in a comprehensive evaluation of the risks and benefits of preventive surgery. Unfortunately, this information was not collected routinely for all patients in the current study. We intend to report the results for a smaller number of centers in a future study.
Financial Disclosures: None reported.
