To the Editor.—

With reference to the article "General Recommendations on Immunization,"¹ we note that the recommended schedule indicates that the measles, mumps, and rubella and diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis vaccines can be given together at 15 months of age. Merck Sharp & Dohme publish in their package insert for MMR II that "routine administration of DTP [diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis vaccine] and/or OPV [oral polio vaccine] concomitantly with measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine is not recommended because there are insufficient data relating to the simultaneous administration of these antigens."
